I ordered almost the same suit a month ago from Harry Rosen in Toronto and I'm waiting anxiously as this is my first MTM suit. I hope it comes out as well as this. Is this one of the slim cut models from Samuelsohn? I'd appreciate any advice for when I go in for the first fitting. I'm afraid since I'm a novice that the salesperson is going to jerk me around if the suit isn't how I wanted.

We have started legal proceedings againt the store and its owner, Tony Elian, because he orders merchandise,takes delivery and then refuses to pay. Our made-in-Italy merchandise was delivered on Oct. 3, 2011 and we are still trying to collect. Its up to you to decide where to shop. ReplyDeleteClusier has a 'slim-fit' pattern that they developed with Samuelsohn that features a high arm hole, narrow shoulders, cinched waist and tapered pants, and it may be a bit different from what is offered at Harry Rosen.
Don't be afraid to tell your sales person exactly what you want modified on your suit, they should be honest with what you can and cannot do, but make sure you are happy with the final product.

ReplyDeleteThe people at that store put italian tailoring to shame. They sell mediocre products at best. THey lure you in with good looking sale prices in the window but once you are inside you find out they only have xxxl sizes left. And then they follow you around through the whole store and stand three feet away from you when you look at a product. They are arrogant and speak to you in a condescending way if you are dressed casually. Yet they are very poorly dressed themselves.

Shady and arrogant people. Mediocre products. Go elsewhere.
